Dr. Rho received her Doctor of Chiropractic from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, after completing a BSc (microbiology) at Dalhousie University and an honours BHSc at York University. Dr. Rho spent her clinical internship year as part of the Family Health Team at St. Michael’s Hospital in downtown Toronto. That same year, she also spent time on observership within the Dovigi Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Department at Mount Sinai Hospital. In addition to practicing in Ontario, Dr. Rho is fully American board-certified and actively licensed to practice in New York state.
Dr. Rho has a passion for clinical research and evidence-based practice. Her long-term focus is to partake in the collaborative effort to expand accessibility for ‘rapid access’ to care: thus providing rapid assessment, education and self-management plans for low back pain patients across Ontario and the tristate area. This passion for chronic pain led her to apply (and ultimately be accepted) to the Advanced Clinical Practitioner program within Temetry Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Once her clinical preceptorships are complete, Dr. Rho will then carry the ACPAC designation.
Dr. Rho’s philosophy is ‘move well, live better’. She takes a conservative approach to chiropractic care, by prioritizing modalities, mobility-based exercise plans, and education on lifestyle modifications, with manual therapy as an adjunct. Dr. Rho utilizes the Active Release Technique and joint mobilizations during all chiropractic sessions.
