Registered Massage Therapist
With over 12 years clinical experience, Joyce completed her registered massage therapy (RMT) program at Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic in 2009. Joyce also has an undergraduate Kinesiology degree from the University of Waterloo. Joyce helps to treat a variety of conditions from tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, low back pain, and other various ailments.
Joyce’s time in massage school gave her the special expertise in treating clients with multiple sclerosis, clients undergoing cancer treatment, and patients with high-risk pregnancies. In addition to massage therapy, Joyce is also a labour doula and infant massage therapist. Her passion for supporting women during their pregnancy and her love of children led her to complete her certification in 2012, studying with Trimesters: Massage Therapy Education. As a doula and infant massage instructor, Joyce provides personalized home care for expectant mothers, as well as group infant massage therapy sessions. With effective massage techniques, Joyce believes in providing the most beneficial care to both mothers and infants before and after labour.
"I have never received a professional massage before attending school for massage therapy training. I have always loved to help people and found many options that give me that opportunity. Through researching after graduating from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, I decided to go into Massage Therapy. I’ve been a practising registered massage therapist since 2009 from Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy. But, an interest in pregnancy and children led me to furthering my techniques for high-risk pregnancies, infants and children. I became a Labour Doula in 2012 from studying with Trimesters: Massage Therapy Education. I love to share my passion and knowledge!" ~ Joyce Szeto.
