Indian Head Massage is based on the ancient Ayurvedic form of healing that dates back almost 4,000 years. It involves massage to portions of the face, neck, shoulders, scalp and ears. Essential oils are applied to the scalp leaving the client feeling restored and energized with a sense of well-being. A combination of sandalwood, clove, and cinnamon essential oils are used for stress relief, mental stimulation, energy boosting and hair root stimulation. The treatment ends with an aromatic head wrap using hot towels.

Thai foot reflexology is performed using a carved wooden stick and as a result can reach very specific points deep in the foot. Foot reflexology affects the well-being of the rest of the body as different pressure points on the foot are associated with various organs and body parts. This 45 minute treatment includes a lower leg massage as well and ends with a relaxing hot moist towel wrap, soaked in aromatic essential oils. Great for reviving tired achy feet!

This treatment is provided by Shannon Teekah-Lam, RMT who is also certified in hypnosis and reiki. It centres around the idea of uniting the mind and body as many physical discomforts and dysfunctions are products of emotional challenges. This session includes elements of therpeutic massage, guided imagery, meditation, reiki, energy healing (including the use of semi-precious stones), relaxation techniques, stretching and self-hypnosis. The treatment begins with a short discussion of information entered onto the intake form to get an idea of the client’s current situation and goals and to develop a treatment plan for change in a particular area. It includes massage to areas which aid in inducing relaxation and releasing stress. The session ends with the practitioner providing a piece of homework to benefit the client. The first session is 75 minutes long. Follow-up sessions are 60 minutes long.
